艺术家自述

      不知为什么，从小我就被叫做“油麻”，后来才知道，原来隔壁家有一个卖“油麻”的四姐。我在家里排行老四，在我出生时候的那个计划生育年代，老四确实少见，可以说是稀缺物种。可是我是真实的存在在这样的时代里，我是从哪来，我为什么会在这里，或者也许我并没有存在的必要性。我生活在这样一个“重男轻女”的社会里，从小就被忽视，以至于小的时候，我总是期望自己也可以有一个“小鸡鸡”，也可以站着撒尿。我总认为一个人，一个社会的观念很重要，它会影响整个事态的发展。因为小的时候总是被忽视，所以我总喜欢自己一个人躲在一个属于自己的小角落里画画。我知道我不是画得最好的那个，但是我却一直喜欢画画，我觉得绘画艺术，它在拯救着我的灵魂，它是通往我内心深处的途径。画画其实是每个人的天赋，几乎没有一个人不能画画，但是我从小就希望自己能成为画家，为什么呢？因为曾经有一个人，她给过我很多温暖——三大姑，她总是在我画画的时候鼓励我，“油麻画得好好哦——将来一定能成为画家！”那个时候，我应该才4、5岁的样子，但是画家的梦想却一直深藏在心里。我相信每个人的心里面，总会有那么一个人，在你的生命里闪闪发光，给予你爱，给予你支持，只可惜三大姑走得早，没能看到我真正成为画家的一天。其实我也不大确定，我是否能成为画家，但那确实是我的梦想，我知道，其实我并不是一个最会画画的人，但是我喜欢画画，享受着画画的过程，这就足够了。

这是我这么多年来，第一个个人展览，名字就叫做“柔的岩彩”。想成为一个画家不容易，想成为一个岩彩画家就更不容易，因为大众根本不知道“岩彩”是什么。我想我是很有勇气要进行岩彩画的创作的，没有任何可以给你指点的人，靠的是那远古的敦煌壁画，而且还是书上的印刷品。我看过真正的（敦煌）壁画，但是因为那时候还小，不懂珍惜，根本不能体会它的精髓。到了自己真正的去用岩彩创作的时候，我才慢慢的对它的品性有所了解，它是那样的质朴，那样的自然。当我们生活被高科技所覆盖住的时候，岩彩，就像是埋藏在瓦砾下的金子。它可以让一个人沉静下来，慢慢的等待，慢慢的体会，慢慢的沉淀。也许不会有太多的人能体会到用岩彩来画画是什么感受。我觉得就像是用沙子在画画，你得不断的预想着它最后能呈现给你的效果，这简直太像做一场科学实验了！

至于为什么叫做“柔”，是我的价值观的体现吧！当这个社会都在强调强势，硬的实权的时候，我却认为做人就得像耍太极一样，“柔”，以柔克刚，柔中带刚，凡事退后一步想，海阔天空，像蒲苇一样柔软而坚强。

这次的个展，可以说是厚积薄发。感谢大家能来看我的展览，也很感恩这次能和黄菲合作，共同呈现我的个展，我会继续努力，做出更多，更好的作品来！

Self-Statement of Artist

I don't know why I was called "You Ma(meaning hemp oil)“ from an early age. Later I heard that there was a fourth elder sister selling hemp oil living next door. I am the fourth child in my family. During the family planning period when I was born, the fourth child was very rare, belonging to the scarce species. But I was truly present in such an era.    Where did I come from? Why I am here? Maybe I am not necessary to exist. I lived in a society preferring boys to girls. I have been neglected since I was a child. When I was young, I always expected that I could have a “dick” and standing to pee. I always think that the concept of a person, a society is quite important, it will affect the development of the whole situation. Since I was ignored when I was young, I always like hiding in a small corner to draw on my own. I knew that I was not the best one of drawing, but I have been fond of painting all the time. I think the art of painting is saving my soul. It is the way to my deep heart. Painting is actually a talent for everyone. Hardly anyone can't draw. However, I wanted to be a painter since I was a child. Why? Because there was once a person, who gave me a lot of warmth - the third aunt. She always encouraged me when I was painting. “You Ma is doing very good - you could be a painter in the future!" At that time, I should be only 4 or 5 years old, but the dream to become an artist has always been hidden in my heart. I believe that there is always a person in everyone's heart, shining in your life, giving you love and support. Unfortunately, the third aunt died early. She was not able to see the day when I really became a painter. In fact, I am not sure whether I can become a painter or not, but it is indeed my dream. I knew that I was not the one who was the best at painting, but I like painting and enjoy the process of painting. It is enough.

For so many years, this is my first solo exhibition, of which the name is called “The Soft Rock Color." It is not easy to become a painter. It is even harder to become a rock color painter because the public does not know what "rock color" is. I my opinion I was full of courage to create the rock color painting. There was no one could give me any direction. I relied on the ancient Dunhuang frescos, which were printed on the books. I have seen the real ones, but I was too young to cherish it, I couldn't understand the essence at that time. When I did use rock color to create, I have gradually learned about its character. It is so simple and natural. When our lives are covered by high technology, the rock color is like gold buried under the debris. It can let a person calm down to wait slowly, to experience slowly, and to subside slowly. Perhaps not many people can understand how it feels to paint with rock colors. I feel like I am painting with sands. You have to constantly anticipate the final result it will show you. It is just like doing a scientific experiment!

As for why it is called "soft", it is the embodiment of my values! When this society is emphasizing strength and hard power, I think that to be a human being should be like playing Tai Ji,  to be"soft", overcoming the hard with the soft, to be hard within the soft, taking a step back and thinking, the sky will be wide, and to be soft and strong like the reed.

This solo exhibition can be said to rise abruptly based on its accumulated strength. Thank you for coming to see my exhibition, and I am very grateful to cooperate with Huang Fei, to present my solo exhibition together. I will continue to work hard to make more and better works!

前言

每一个人都有自己的路，从冯仕恒梦想着当画家，遇见岩彩，到后来钻研并专一画岩彩的过程，都是她在不断地怀疑中追寻自我和寻找认同的路。

冯仕恒用的岩彩，大多是闪耀的，近看就像铺满了一层细碎的宝石，极度漂亮。其实，那些大多是矿物质，是从岩石而来的物质，非常坚硬的——就像她一样，表面柔弱的一个女子，实则内心十分强大，决定的事情会一直坚持，哪怕亲近的人反对，哪怕遇到一次一次的困难和挫折都要尽其所能去克服。此乃柔中带刚的她。

而这样坚强的女性心里，又时刻住着一名少女，永远不放弃天真和浪漫的想法，带着这样的想法去看世界，并把体会融入到作品之中。她一直用这种柔韧的方式向男权社会表达默默的抗争。此乃以柔克刚的她。

岩彩，是一种古老的中华文化传统技法，更是一种贴近自然的艺术方式。冯仕恒说，可以宅在家又可以跟外界交流的方式，就是绘画了。她热爱绘画，这是她天人合一的方式。

有不少书籍、电影讨论女性兼顾家庭和事业的不易，而冯仕恒就是这方面问题在艺术家群体中的体现。当一个艺术家的路并不平坦，当一位女艺术家的路尤为崎岖。结婚生子是普通人绕不开的人生站点，但对于女艺术家来说就像是一场重大考验。考过了才会被认为是能坚持当一辈子艺术家的人。

终于，刚柔并济的她迎来了人生的第一次个人展览。10月，她的作品也将在香港亚洲当代酒店艺博会亮相。在此寄望更多人能走进冯仕恒的岩彩世界，欣赏岩彩的美妙，并给予她更多鼓励与支持。

Preface

Everyone has his/her own way. From FENG Shiheng's dream of being a painter, meeting rock color, to studying and painting with rock color later, it was her way to pursue herself and find her identity in constant doubts.

The rock colors used by FENG Shiheng are mostly shining. A close look shows they look like a layer of fine gemstones, extremely beautiful. In fact, most of them are minerals, which are substances from the rocks. They are very hard - just like her, a woman with a weak face is actually very strong inside. She always insists on her decisions. Even if the close persons oppose it, even if she encounters difficulties and setbacks once and for all, she would do everything she can to overcome them. This is her toughness within softness.

In such a strong woman's heart, there is always a young girl living in. She never gives up the innocent and romantic thoughts, taking these ideas to see the world, and integrating the experience into her works. She has been using this kind of flexibility to express silent resistance to the male-dominated society. She is overcoming the hard with the soft.

Rock color is an ancient Chinese traditional cultural technique, and it is even an art method to be closer to the nature. FENG Shiheng says that painting is the way to communicate with the outside world while staying at home. She loves painting. And this is the way she unites with the nature.

There are many books and movies discussing the difficulties when women need to deal with family and career. FENG Shiheng is the reflection of this problem in the artists' group. The road to be an artist is not smooth, while the road to be a female artist is particularly bumpy. Getting married and having children are the life stations that ordinary people can't get around, but it is like a major test for female artists. Those who have passed the exam will be finally considered to be those who can persist in being artists for a lifetime.

Eventually, she, who is a combination of toughness and softness, is greeting for the first solo exhibition in her life. In October, her works will also be exhibited at the Hong Kong Asia Contemporary Art Show. I hope that more people will enter FENG Shiheng's rock color world, to appreciate the beauty of rock color, and give her more encouragements and supports.

PS: It is difficult to understand the beauty of the rock color by photos. So it is highly recommended to visit the exhibition personally. There will be a surprise when you turn on the flashlight of your cellphone to look the details of the paintings. Please do remember NOT TO TOUGH the surface! Thank you!

冯仕恒 女

1986年出生于广东阳江

2009年毕业于广州美术学院 获学士学位

现生活与广州、阳江两地

自我创作感言：

我的作品主要是由三个部分组成的，风景、人物和“轮回”式的装饰画。这是我创作的一些尝试，我喜欢多变的风格，不喜欢一成不变的符号化的创作方式。由此，我相信我的灵感，多数的创作灵感来自于生活，带有一些的幽默色彩。我的创作源泉，源源不断而富有灵性。我是非常感性的一个人，或许在这个充满了男性创作理念的艺术创作领域，需要更多的理性色彩，但是我依然坚守我的阵地。在我眼里，艺术是带有感情色彩的，而我相信女性的温婉细腻的情感，在当今的创作领域是十分缺失的。

我想我的创作是跟我童年分不开的，自幼喜欢涂抹，喜欢幻想，喜欢童话，喜欢动画，因此我的创作有那么一点清新，童真，烂漫。这是我心灵的一片净土。

Self-Introduction

My works are mainly composed by three parts: landscape, human and homocentric decorative painting. These are some attempts in my creation. I like variable style instead of the invariable and symbolic creation way. So, I believe my inspiration and most of them are from my life with some humor. My creation fountain is continuous and rich of spiritual. I’m a very emotional person. Maybe in this art field where full of masculine creation ideas, we need more rational color, but I still insist on guarding my position. In my eyes, art is full of the color of emotion. I do believe that the female’s delicate emotion is missing in the art world today. In my opinion, my artwork is related to my childhood. When I was a child, I liked smearing, imagining, carton and fairy… in this way, there is a little bit freshness, innocence and brightness in my creation. This is the Pure Land in my heart.
