As the largest and highest profile brand conference in the Chinese game industry, the China Game Business Conference (CGBC) is held under the guidance of the ChinaJoy Organizational Committee, hosted by Howell International Trade Fair Co., Ltd. and is annually held in conjunction with ChinaJoy Expo in late July, in Shanghai, China.

Based on the China International Digital Entertainment Summit, CGBC has rapidly and steadily grown into a game industry development conference with 10 years of topical forum support since its initial inception in 2003. Characterized by diverse meeting formats, rich and intriguing content, pragmatic and positive social settings, and a positive and stable reputation in the field, CGBC has become the best business platform in China for discussing industry trends, displaying enterprise concepts, exchanging development experience and sharing in industry information. 

CGBC organizes more than 10 forums themed around the hottest fields of China’s game industry every year. Government authorities and game enterprises around the world are invited to attend the forums as guests. With over 300 speakers and panelists speaking to specialized audiences of well over 3,000 members, it is by far the largest game business forum series with the most participants in China. During the 10th CGBC in 2012, over 200 businesspeople and enterprise executives from home and abroad were invited to give speeches at the 10 themed sub-forums which attracted almost 4,000 insiders from over 20 countries and regions around the world. Participants carried out business exchanges with high levels of enthusiasm, greatly stimulating the business development and cooperation between China and the world in the internet entertainment field. The sub-forums discussed a diversified array of fields, including browser games, SNS and social games, investment and financing, marketing, game education, overseas development and channels for cooperation, and game ethics and culture. 

In 2013, the themes of CGBC will be further expanded to more game industry-related fields, such as client-supported online games, web games, online mobile games, social games, casual games, game derivative products, investment and financing, hardware terminals, telecommunication services, network security, online payment, media, ad marketing, policies and laws, industrials parks, game education, and film and TV entertainment. With brand-new concepts, CGBC will lead global game producers to wider, newer and deeper scales of cooperation.
