This Fashion 3D Printing and E-Textile Workshop is an opportunity to bring your fashion ideas to life using the latest technologies.

FashionEx brings you world-class innovation FashionTech designers, Sylvia Heisel and Yuchen Zhang, to lead and coach you throughout the workshop.

You will get hands on experience with 3D Design software/3D Printers and Textiles/Electronics and see how these amazing new technologies are changing the way we design and produce garments and accessories in the fashion industry.

No prior learning required, is for to anyone wanting to learn about 3D Printing and E-Textiles for fashion.

工作坊内容

在11月18日的工作坊，主要分了3部分来开展活动情况。

The FashionTech Workshop on the 18th of Nov. is broken down into 3 parts.

第一部分

Part 1 3D Printing

Sylvia Heisel最新时尚的3D打印设计款

3D打印，由世界Top25时尚科技创新设计师Sylvia Heisel来给我们先介绍如今她的最新设计和讲解3D打印及Tinkercad软件操作，同时在现场有5台MakeThink提供的3D打印机，每个参加者都能操作并打印一件自己设计的物件。

Sylvia A world-class expert from New York will start by introducing her latest designs in 3D fashion. She will talk about her vision and what the future holds.

Participants will gradually moved into learning how to design with the software Tinkercad and how to operate a 3D printer. 5 printers will be available with help of technicians for each participant to have the chance to print their designs.

第二部分

Part 2 E-Textiles

智能面料，来自Wearable Media(如下嘉宾介绍中有介绍) 的联合创始人YuChen Zhang会带来如今最新最成熟智能面料材料，如Arduino模块，面料，特殊接线，发光材料等。YuChen Zhang会在大家动手设计制作前讲解电子签容器是怎样做到‘智能’？并演示一个简单电子回路制作。同样每个参加者都会制作一块自己的智能面料带回去。

We will give the floor to YuChen Zhang who is the Co-Founder of Wearable Media. She will give the participant knowledge on the specifics of E-Textiles: Arduino compatible electronic platform, material with application of special wiring and basics on circuit designs. Participants will then be able to apply the learned method into their own designs and take it home.

Part 3 Discussion & Kickstart

就是让大家可以和大咖一起畅谈自己对这次体验的时尚科技技术的产品想法，并可以具体说出你将会怎样用现在可提供的这些技术来做设计，做怎样的设计？然后Fashionex会帮助参加者所想的设计落地。

相信在这次的工作坊，我们会给到大家的是真实体验，并能结合到将来你要设计的最新的可穿戴设计中，我们在这里提供你的设计需要和辅助。

Share ideas and ask the experts on how to implement what you learned into your next collection. Brainstorm on what does the market want and how you can create something unique. Fashionex will be here to support your design needs and guide you all to great prototype and final products

You will leave our workshop with new knowledge and with new capabilities which will help future innovation in your fashion journey.

Sylvia Heisel

世界级创新科技时尚设计大咖，被称为“纽约时尚科技必须知的12名杰出家”。她是时尚设计师，是创意总监，为时尚和可穿戴研究使用新材料，生产方式和物理计算。

Sylvia 是3D打印，功能性时尚，智能可穿戴设计的专家，她又是研究新材料制作应用于时尚。

近期正在研发一个为服装生产的3D打工作流系统。

Sylvia is a world-class top 25 innovation fashion technology veteran, and named one of the "12 Amazing People You Need To Know In New York Fashion Tech". Fashion designer and creative director working with new materials, manufacturing and physical computing for fashion and wearables.

She is an expert on 3D printing, functional fashion, design for smart wearables and new materials manufacturing applications for fashion.

Currently developing a work-flow and manufacturing system for 3D printed apparel

YuChen Zhang

Wearable Media的联合创始人及CEO。有着多年对创始智能面料企业和设计的咨询经验，她了解挑战，并且激励着她不断开创这样一个新带着未来科技的时尚的品牌。Wearable Media是全世界实际专业研发可穿戴技术的服饰面料的公司之一。

Yuchen Zhang 是个多面设计师，专长品牌推广和可穿戴技术。来自于中国，现在工作居住在纽约市，使用她的基础根基作为创作项目的动力。Yuchen利用她设计和技术的专长帮客户做平面设计，网页设计，品牌推广和消费者体验咨询。Yuchen在毕业的院校工作时让她获得很多关注点，她制作出了一条衣服生产线，这样的生产线解决了全世界很多国家的一个大问题，空气污染。现在她的工作扩展到研发新技术，时尚和专注于人类生活环境和功能性可行性的新产品设计。

Wearable Media co-founder and CEO. With years of experience in consulting start-ups on e-textiles and design. She understands the challenges and excitement of creating a new brand. Wearable Media is one of the world-wide professional developing in wearable tech fashion material company in New York.

Yuchen Zhang is a multi-faceted designer who specializes in branding and wearable technology. Originally from China, Yuchen now lives in New York City and uses her roots as motivation for her inventive projects. Yuchen uses her advanced skills in design and technology to consult clients on graphic design, web design, branding and consumer experience. Her work during graduate school has gained Yuchen a lot of attention, she created a clothing line that addresses a huge issue in countries all over the world, air pollution. Now her work has expanded to developing new technology, fashion and product design focusing on new possibilities for human living environments and functions.
