世界环境日在每年6月5日，它是联合国促进全球环境意识、提高政府对环境问题的注意并采取行动的主要媒介之一。联合国环境规划署每年6月5日选择一个成员国举行“世界环境日”纪念活动，发表《环境现状的年度报告书》及表彰“全球500佳”，并根据当年的世界主要环境问题及环境热点，有针对性地制定“世界环境日”主题，总称世界环境保护日。

World Environment Day is the United Nation's flagship campaign for raising awareness on emerging environmental issues and encouraging action for the protection of our environment. It is celebrated on 5 June every year, and this year’s theme is “Connecting people to nature – in the city and on the land, from the poles to the equator”. This resonates so well with our Green Foot values, and our Hiking events are particularly aimed at connecting people to nature.

6月4日，绿脚丫联合FEC、唤青春及一群热心环保的公益的伙伴联合发起东西涌“垃圾”穿越活动。

To commemorate the World Environment day, on 4 June Sunday we will hike along the beautiful Dongxichong coastline with the aim to clean it up as much as we can and raise awareness on protecting our natural heritage. This event is organised jointly by Green Foot, FEC, and Huanqingchun.

东西涌海岸线位于深圳的大鹏半岛，这条深圳最经典、最美丽的徒步路线，曾被《国家地理杂志》评选为国内最美十大徒步路线之一。

Dongxichong Coastline is located at Dapeng Peninsula, Shenzhen, and was once awarded as one of the most beautiful hiking routes in China. Half of the trail is along the coast and the other half goes through the rocky hills on the seaside. It is a very popular hike for many nature enthusiasts, but sadly this popularity is bringing it more and more rubbish. This rubbish is not only destroying the beauty of the hiking trail, but is also causing the unprocessed garbage entering the marine environment.

活动缘起

由于东西涌海岸线自东向西一半路程走的是山路，另一半路程走的是海岸线，成为不少“入门级”户外运动者的必选路线。随着东西涌徒步人数的不断增长，东西涌徒步线路沿线的垃圾数量也在与日俱增——徒步线路沿线散布着各种垃圾，塑胶袋、饮料瓶、塑料包装袋……

Half of the route is trail on the mountain, and half of it is walking along the coast, it has been the most popular choice for outdoor lovers. With more and more people coming to the place, the rubbish is increasing as well, there are many rubbish dump along the route which need us to clean up....

有些地方，垃圾成堆地放着，却没有人及时清理......面对“垃圾成山”的东西涌，很多环保组织、团体和环保人士都自发组织志愿者沿线进行垃圾清理，但垃圾清理活动成果难以长期保持——没过多久，被清理的徒步线路沿线又恢复“垃圾当道”的场景…

In the past, Green Foot and other hiking groups have cleaned up the parts of the trail several times. The trash, however, is always coming back at an alarming rate. This time we are united to campaign a bigger event and aim to raise awareness at unprecedented levels. We must influence people not to throw rubbish.

(III) 7:50am 水贝地铁站B出口 (4号线) Shuibei metro station Exit B (Line4)

【行程 Schedule】

07:40-08:00 志愿者签到，乘车前往东西涌 The volunteers sign up and take the bus

09:30-10:00 到达活动现场 Arrive the starting point: Dongchong

10:30-13:30 志愿者徒步者互动倡导徒步者进行垃圾清理 Start hiking and cleaning up

13:30-14:30 午休&午饭时间 Lunch time and rest

14:30-17:00 收拾物料，完成穿越 Continue cleaning up and finish at xichong

17:00-18:30 合影&聚餐&社交 Group photos&Dinner&Social time

18:30-20:00 回到市区，活动结束 Arrive the city and finish the event.
