10月21日，哥伦比亚大学工程学院高级副院长中国宣讲会（北京站）将在哥伦比亚大学全球中心 | 北京举行。届时，哥伦比亚大学工程学院高级副院长苏拉密·卡契尼（Soulaymane Kachani）教授将出席宣讲会，他将就哥大工程学院硕士及博士项目进行详细介绍，还将针对申请流程、课程安排及学生未来发展等问题进行说明和解答。

On Oct. 21, Senior Vice Dean of The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, Professor Soulaymane Kachani, will be representing Columbia Engineering to connect with prospective students and re-connect with alumni, universities, and various companies at Columbia Global Centers | Beijing. He will introduce Columbia Engineering programs and will answer questions regarding the application process and learning experience.

We kindly invite prospective students who are interested in applying to Columbia Engineering MS and Ph.D. programs and Columbia Engineering alumni to join the event.

演讲嘉宾 | Speaker

苏拉密·卡契尼（Soulaymane Kachani）教授是哥伦比亚大学工程学院的高级副院长。他于哥伦比亚大学校议会（Columbia University Senate）当选哥大工程学院教授代表，同时担任哥伦比亚大学校议会执行委员会（University Senate Executive Committee）委员，哥伦比亚大学校议会预算委员会（University Senate Budget Committee）主席。

卡契尼教授的研究领域包括：动态定价、收益管理、机器学习、物流、供应链管理、算法交易、统计套利、交通流模型、运输分析。他教授的本科及研究生课程包括量化企业融资、工业经济学、运营咨询、物流、定价、生产与库存管理。

卡契尼教授也是哥伦比亚大学教学事务副教务长，负责监管哥伦比亚大学的教学策略发展。

Professor Soulaymane Kachani serves as Senior Vice Dean of Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is an elected representative of the faculty of Columbia Engineering on the Columbia University Senate, where he is a member of the University Senate Executive Committee and the Chair of the University Senate Budget Committee.

Professor Kachani conducts research in the fields of dynamic pricing, revenue management, machine learning, logistics, supply chain management, algorithmic trading, statistical arbitrage, traffic flow modeling, and transportation analysis. He teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of quantitative corporate finance, industrial economics, operations consulting, logistics, pricing, and production and inventory planning.

Professor Kachani also serves as Columbia University's Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning. In this role, he oversees the development of Columbia University's teaching and learning strategies.
