Bang Bang Mary is a four piece rock n roll band aiming to shoot up dance floors with tunes that will have the audience sweaty and exhausted by the end of every set. With one Brit and three South Africans in the band they draw influence from artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Fokofpolisiekar and Pretty Viscous. Their set is made up of originals with a few covers and are skilled at demolishing drum kits and jumping about in skinny jeans.

Since arriving in Bejing last March they have played at various venues such as Temple, School Bar, Hot Cat and DDC.  The current members are Tyron (bass guitar and backup vocals), Jamie (rhythm guitar and lead vocals), Ulli (lead guitarist) and Bastian (drums).

Eclectic, raw, and fun, Better Off Alive weaves in and out of psychedelic rock and folk with punchy drums and bass. Their music floats on the sound of various woodwind instruments, vocal harmonies, and distorted guitar riffs.
