关于活动

兰登国际是一个致力于创作当代实验性艺术的合作工作室，本次个展“万物与虚无”主题围绕模拟、决策、自动化等概念，不仅是其代表之作《雨屋》的再度回归，更包含其他装置作品，展现他们丰富的艺术表现形式。兰登国际忠实于自己探索艺术的道路，通过实验人类的意识、感知与直觉，以独有的手法将艺术与科技结合，试图在日益机械化的世界里，探索人类的状态。本次我们荣幸邀请兰登国际两位艺术家以及主编晨慧龙，沈奇岚博士为我们分享他们如何思考人类与科技之间的关系，帮助观众去省思与观察自然现象和人类行为如何可能重塑这世界。

关于兰登国际

兰登国际是一个致力于当代实验性艺术的合作工作室，由汉内斯·科赫（Hannes Koch）和弗洛里安·奥特克拉斯（Florian Ortkrass）于2005年创立，目前在伦敦和柏林拥有大批团队成员。他们的作品通过积极参与的形式，探讨后数字时代中人类的身份和自治的问题。

2017年，兰登国际的作品《动物攸关》（Zoological）作为韦恩•麦格雷戈（Wayne McGregor）现代舞《+/-人类》（+/-Human）表演的一部分，在伦敦圆屋剧场（Roundhouse）首次亮相。他们的其它创作曾于冬季投影双年展（Lichtsicht Biennale，2015）、鲁尔三年展（Ruhrtriennale，2013）和莫斯科双年展（Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art，2011）展出。他们也在瑞典隆德艺术博物馆（Lunds konsthall，2014）、巴黎木匠作坊画廊（Carpenters Workshop Gallery，2012）、纽约佩斯画廊（Pace Gallery，2016）举办过个展。他们的作品被纽约现代艺术博物馆、余德耀基金会、洛杉矶郡立美术馆等收藏，作品《群研究/III》（Swarm Study / III）也在伦敦维多利亚与艾伯特博物馆（Victoria &Albert）长期展出。

关于嘉宾

沈奇岚：德国明斯特大学哲学博士。知名作家，艺术评论家，策展人。曾任《艺术世界》杂志社编辑部主任，中南传媒浦睿文化艺术部主编。她为多家国际艺术杂志撰写文章和专栏。她受邀为Antony Gormley, Markus Luepertz, Fernando Botero 等艺术家撰写画册文章。现兼任《书城》杂志编委。她是上海当代艺术馆的学术顾问。沈奇岚博士与国际文化机构和美术馆合作各种论坛、学术研究和展览项目。她在2014年上海当代艺术馆联合策展“时间的裂缝”，2016年担任“蓬皮杜现代艺术大师展”的顾问。2017年策展德国战后艺术大师彭克大型展览“A.R. Penck: 暗喻会否成真？”2018 年受歌德学院邀请，担任艺术项目“包豪斯课程1.0”策展人。

丽莎·莫维斯：《艺术新闻》国际版中国分社主编。1998年来到上海之后，她报道了诸多中国的艺术与前卫文化。

About the talk

Random International is a collaborative studio for experimental practice with contemporary art. This solo exhibition “Everything & Nothing” considering ideas of simulation, decision-making and automation, is not only return of Rain Room(2012) but also includes other installations which presents their multi-disciplinary art forms.

Random International insist their way of exploring art and combine art and technology uniquely by experimenting human conscious, perception and intuition. They try to explore human status in this increasingly automated and mechanized environment.

This Friday, we’re honored to have artists, Lisa Movius and Dr. Qilan SHEN together share their thoughts on the relation between human and technology, which will help the audience reflect and observe how natural phenomenon and human behaviors could reshape the world.

About the Guests

Dr. Qilan SHEN is a famous curator, writer and art critic in China. She curates the large-scale retrospective exhibition of " A.R. Penck: Will Sign Become Reality? " in 2017. She is academic consultant for exhibition "Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou 1906-1977" in 2016. Now She's curating a special art project of "Bauhaus Class 1.0” with Goethe Institute in 2018.

Dr. Qilan SHEN writes and publishes extensively for international magazines, recently an essay for Antony Gormley's latest catalog, and a special feature on Fernando Botero. She was the director of the prestige Art World Magazine, and now editorial board members of Book Town. She is chief advisor and co-author of book "Europe-China Cultural Compass --Orientation for Cultural Cooperation between China and Europe".

Dr. Qilan SHEN received her Ph.D. from University of Münster, Germany. She is academic consultant of Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai.  She closely collaborates with international institutions and artists on exhibitions and art projects. She is one of leading figures who contributes to the communication between China and the world.

Lisa Movius is the China Bureau Chief of the international edition of The Art Newspaper. She has extensively covered Chinese art and avant-garde culture since moving to Shanghai in 1998.

About Random International

Random International is a collaborative studio for experimental practice within contemporary art. Founded in 2005 by Hannes Koch and Florian Ortkrass, the studio now includes a larger team in London and Berlin. Questioning aspects of identity and autonomy in the post-digital age, Random International’s work invites active participation. 

In 2017, their work Zoological debuted at London’s Roundhouse as part of Wayne McGregor’s +/- Human. The studio’s work has also formed part of the Lichtsicht Biennale (2015), Ruhrtriennale (2013), and Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art (2011). Solo presentations of their work were exhibited at Lunds konsthall, Sweden (2014), Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Paris (2012), and Pace Gallery, New York (2016). Their work is in the collections of MoMA, Yuz Foundation, LACMA and V&A, where their Swarm Study / III is on long-term display.
