GREAT BUFFALO BLUES

This electric blues trio blends blues and funk rhythms to electrify audiences and dance floors with songs like "7th Floor," "If I Told You I Loved You,"  "While We Were Sleeping," "Trouble Is," "Dream Song," and "Coming Home." They use a simple recipe a little funky, a little soul, and a whole lotta blues.

They bring the funk. They bring the fire. They bring the feeling that you're feeling in your bones as you're reading through their bio.

KAMAU

Kamau is the host of the Picker's Open Mic Night at Caravan Bar and Restaurant (Beijing, China), former host and producer of This Is Providence (Providence, Rhode Island), a singer/songwriter, and a founding member of the rock band D.Cortisol, the free form band Ad Libitum and the guitarist/vocalist for The Great Buffalo Blues. As a songwriter and a performer, he has an ear for a good story, lyrics that spin you around when you least expect it, a solid sense of rhythm, and songs that have been called full of emotion and "pop but personal."

DOODER

Dooder has played in many of the live houses in Beijing, festivals in mainland China and Mongolia, and written and composed songs for many local and mainland organizations. He is a vocalist, musician and composer. His playing includes folk, blues, funk, and more. He is fluent in Chinese, Kirundi, and French in addition to English. One of his famous recordings called "Rastaman Never Give Up" was played all over Burundi on radio. He is also the percussionist, guitarist and vocalist for Great Buffalo Blues.

Hikmat Yakha is a dedicated guitarist , teacher and performer based in Beijing, China. Born and raised in Dharan, Nepal. Hikmat was driven and inspired by the wealth of cultures that surrounded him to start playing guitar more than a decade ago. He began mimicking playing guitar on a tennis racket found in his Dad’s storage eventually progressing onto Guitar. Today,  after all these years later, he continues to play, teach, study and love the guitar. 

He is a guitarist with a wide range of influences. He is presently the lead guitar player in the '3 Mosquitoes' and 'the Great Buffalo Blues'.
