2018年，Language Mix Beijing陪大家度过了52个周末，来自世界各地超过2500位伙伴在每周的language mix认识新朋友、交换语言，2018注定是个难忘的一年。

Languages were mixed at Language Mix Beijing 52 times in 2018, with more than 2500 amazing people from around the world coming together to make new friends and speak a new language every week.  2018 was an unforgettable year.

在2019年即将到来之际，Language Mix Beijing想和留在北京的你，还有国际友人（美国人、法国人、德国人、意大利人、日本人等等）一起热热闹闹地"跨过"原本看不见得时间！留下一切美好。

On the eve of 2019, Language Mix Beijing wants to join once more with you and all of our international friends who decided to stay in Beijing for New Year’s! Let’s go out with a bang.

This Year, Let’s Try Something Different!

如果你觉得每年的跨年活动都千篇一律，今年language mix带大家一起来玩一把西班牙"吃葡萄式跨年"。

Don’t expect the same style for bringing in the New Year: this year Language Mix wants you to play a Spanish game "eating grapes for the New Year"!

当新年钟声响起的时候，我们会伴随着钟声的节奏吃葡萄，响一下吃一颗，一定不能少吃，不然会影响新一年的好运气。而这12粒葡萄在西班牙人眼里则代表着来年的12个月，每颗都有不同的含义，例如"平安"、"和睦"、"祛病"等等。

When the New Year bell rings, we will follow the rhythm of the bell and eat grapes: one for each ring.  You must not eat any less, otherwise you’ll affect your luck for the new year.  The 12 grapes represent 12 months of the coming year, each with a different meaning, such as "peace", "harmony", "good health" and so on.

12颗葡萄倒数这是西班牙的跨年重头戏，是西班牙人为新年求福的习俗，这个传统始于1909年，因为葡萄的生产出现严重过剩，农民便想出这个方法来消耗过多的葡萄，慢慢地就变成了一项传统，求来年的好运。

The 12 grape countdown is Spain’s New Year celebration, a tradition that began in 1909 when Spanish farmers, faced with a surplus, came up with the idea of consuming a lot more grapes. Slowly it became a tradition, wishing for good luck in the coming year.

当晚Language Mix会邀请过往所有的cohost出席跨年夜的活动，有Evan(美国)、Josh(美国)、Alexis（法国）、Victoria（俄罗斯）、Isaac（香港）。

On that day, Language Mix will invite all of our past cohosts to attend our big New Year’s Eve event, including Evan and Josh(US), Alexis (France), Victoria (Russia)and isaac(Hongkong).

还会邀请来自西班牙的Javier，担任本次跨年夜的cohost。

That night, Javier, from Spain will be invited to serve as the co-host and lead the celebration.
