Event Intro
The first 100 days of the Biden Administration have been gradually coming to its end. Entangled with tamping the coronavirus, reshaping the economic recovery, and overhauling climate change policy, etc, the Biden Administration has also unveiled its China Policy to the world with the not-so-diplomatic Alaska Meeting and boosted the US tech sector with its call for 50 billion dollars to be invested in the chip industry. Also came to the public's attention is Biden Administration's decision to continue the antitrust investigations against the big techs and its upcoming tax plan.
It is with not doubts that the whole world is deeply affected by the upcoming policy changes from the Biden Administration, including Sino-US relations, perhaps the most important bilateral relation existing ever since and its policy attitudes towards the tech sector. So is the cross-border tech sector. As such, for tech insiders, key decisions remain unsettled as the future is still unseen.
Standing right at the intersection of tech and policy, TMP invites you to attend Tech Talk: The Future of Cross-border Tech under Biden Administration on April 18th, Sunday, 2021 at ideaPod in Chaoyang, Beijing. You will expect to listen to the policy analysis from Qing Li, Director of the Research Department at CCG (Center for China and Globalization), and Will Li, international relations and tech expert, as well as thoughts on business development for tech companies from Tango, an experienced overseas Tech BD, business development manager at a FAANG company in Beijing. You can also expect to see a room full of tech professionals.

Tango is a business development manager at a FAANG company. Since abandoning media work in 2015 as a freelance writer for Esquire Magazine in China, Tango has been involved, for the most part, on the Internet: first as a news partnerships management trainee of the Cheetah Mobile, then escalated to be the overseas business development & public relations head of the company, where he divided his time between Silicon Valley and Beijing, scoping out tech companies outside of China that Cheetah Mobile might work with, partner with, invest in, or even possibly acquire. Tango holds a master’s degree from the University of Sydney’s media & communication program and a bachelor’s degree from the Physics department at Linfield College.
