点燃火炬，祖先为族人驱散黑暗；

By igniting the torch, ancestors dispel the darkness for primeval tribes;

点燃心灵，师者为孩童传道授业；

By igniting the soul, teachers pass on knowledge to curious kids;

点燃灯光，慈母为游子牵肠挂怀；

By igniting the light, mothers pray for safety of faraway sons;

点燃生命，仁者为家国鞠躬尽瘁。

By igniting the life, the benevolent are dedicated to prosperity of home states.

我们的生命，曾无数次被他人点燃；

Our lives have been ignited many times;

我们也应该，点燃他人希望的火光。

And we should also ignite the fire of others' hopes.
