Comfort & Joy: Holiday Concert by the Guangzhou Baroque Orchestra
To kick off the upcoming holiday season, please join us for a special weekend concert on December 7th at 4:00pm in Lincoln Hall. The Guangzhou Baroque Orchestra – a group consisting of local musicians and music enthusiasts – has been invited to perform beloved Christmas carols and festive classical music. Bring your family and friends, as all are welcome to attend this free event. Guests are encouraged to wear (casual) holiday attire. Santa may even make an appearance!
Note: our venue can accommodate a maximum of 250 attendees for this event. Thank you in advance for your understanding. See you on December 7th!
Guangzhou Baroque Orchestra (GBO) is comprised of an orchestra and a choir formed by artists who ardently love Baroque music. GBO is skilled at performing the works of numerous masters of the Baroque period, such as Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi, and is committed to being one of the few pioneers of Baroque music in South China. At the same time, GBO's family concerts have become a brand within the province of Guangdong, and every performance is deeply loved by the parents and children on and off the stage. Like Handel is said to have remarked, "We would be sorry if we only entertained them; we wished to make them better."
