    Art and Sustainability Forum


    “艺术与可持续发展论坛”是“持续反YING——环保艺术跨界展”的开幕论坛,将于2019年5月26日(周日)下午在北京山水美术馆举行。来自18个国家的34位艺术家将在呈现作品的同时,分享他们的环保思考与创作故事。与此同时,论坛邀请了可持续发展领域的非营利组织代表和践行可持续发展理念的行业领袖与艺术家们共同对话,探讨艺术参与可持续发展的机会以及如何通过跨领域合作推动新环保概念深入人心。


    The Art and Sustainability Forum is part of a serial forum on Exhibition: Continuous Refle(a)ction. The opening forum will be held at Beijing Riverside Art Museum on May 26th. 34 artists from 18 countries will be sharing their thoughts and creative stories, exploring artists’ opportunities to participate in sustainable development and discussing how to promote new environmental concepts through cross-disciplinary cooperation. Meanwhile, the forum has also invited scholars, representatives of international organizations, industry leaders to join the conversation.

    欧敏行博士自2015年起至今担任联合国教科文组织驻华代表处代表。2001年至2015年曾任联合国开发计划署成果经理,并担任联合国开发计划署拉丁美洲区域经理。1995年至1999年在Fundacao Dom Cabral(贝洛奥里藏特,巴西)担任高级顾问,2000-2001年在Ibmec商学院(贝洛奥里藏特,巴西)担任执行教育处主任。她在伊利诺伊大学香槟分校(美国)于1990年和1995年分别获得金融学硕士和工商管理学博士。


    Dr. Marielza Oliveira is the Director of UNESCO Beijing since 2015. Previously, she was the global Results Manager for UNDP, where she also held positions as country manager for Latin American countries (2001-2015).  She was also senior consultant at Fundacao Dom Cabral (Brazil, 1995-1999), and Director of Executive Education at Ibmec Business School (2000–2001). She holds a Master of Science in Finance (1990) and a Ph.D. in Business Administration (1995) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.

    王静是“探路者”控股集团股份有限公司的联合创始人,董事长兼总裁,曾任阿拉善SEE公益环保两届理事。王静是知名的登山探险爱好者,是美国探险家俱乐部会员,中国科学探险协会理事,她9次成功登顶8000米以上的雪山,并三次登顶珠穆朗玛峰。王静还是两本畅销书的作者,一家基金会的发起人,中国人民大学EMBA硕士,哥伦比亚大学的访问学者和“中国尼泊尔友好大使”。


    Jing is the Co-founder, Chairwoman&CEO of Toread Group, a pioneer in Chinese outdoor gear industry. She was honored as one of the ‘Top Ten Young Business Leaders in 2011’, the ‘Top Ten Positive Women in 2012’ and the ‘Magnolia Award for Business Person of the Year’ in 2013. She is a mountaineer. In 2014, she broke the record of the Explorer’s Grand Slam(7+2) mountaineering challenge in 142 days. She received the ‘International Veteran Climber’ award from the Nepalese government in 2014 and served as a HPRR & Honorary Tourism Goodwill Ambassador to Nepal in 2015. She established the Everest Future Foundation to improve living standards for Nepali people in the Everest region. Wang Jing is also a visiting scholar at Columbia University, a member of The Explorers Club and the Association for China Exploration & Research Society, an author published two best-selling books Life at Altitude and Silence of The Summit, a film producer with a documentary Life at Altitude.

    萨多·彬·⼤卫是伦敦屡获殊荣的艺术家。 2008年,他受委托为北京奥运会制作雕塑。他于1949年出生于Yemen的Bayhan,并于同年移民到以色列。 他毕业于伦敦圣马丁艺术学院的高级雕塑,并于1977年至1982年在同一所大学任教。Ben-David参加了诸多著名的双年展,包括韩国釜山双年展(2010年); 奥地利双年展Cuvee(2009年); Wonder新加坡双年展(2008年)和威尼斯双年展,意大利(1988年)。 他是葡萄牙双年展国际艺术博物馆(2007年)和特拉维夫博物馆雕塑奖(2005年)一等奖的获得者。


    Zadok Ben-David is a London based, award-winning artist.In 2008, he was commissioned to make a sculpture for the Beijing Olympics. He was born in Bayhan, Yemen in 1949 and immigrated to Israel in the same year. He graduated in advanced sculpture from St. Martin’s School of Art in London and taught at the same institution from 1977-1982. Ben-David has participated in Prestigious Biennales worldwide including, Busan Biennale, South Korea (2010); Biennale Cuvee, Austria (2009); “Wonder” Singapore Biennale, Singapore (2008); and the Venice Biennale, Italy (1988). He is the recipient of both the first prize of Biennale international de Arte de Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal (2007) as well as the Tel-Aviv Museum sculpture prize (2005). Zadok Ben-David artworks are in important private and public collections worldwide.

    埃莉斯·莫林毕业于法国巴黎国立高等装饰艺术学院、伦敦艺术学院圣马丁及东京艺术大学,现在工作生活于巴黎。她的作品源于自然,专注于艺术品的生命周期,并考虑他们创作作品的“物质负担”和他们使用的资源。重点不仅在于减少材料浪费和对生态系统的潜在破坏,还在于重新思考运输,储存和展示艺术品的复杂影响。


    Elise Morin graduated from the  École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris, London Central Saint Martins College of Art and Tokyo Design and National University of Fine Arts and Music. Now she lives and works in Paris. Her work is based on nature, focusing on the lifecycle of art, and considering the “material burden” of their creations and the resources they use. The focus is not only on reducing material waste and potential damage to ecosystems, but also on rethinking the complex effects of artworks’ transportation, preservation and exhibition.

    Guo Rong is an art columnist and independent consultant. She has planned exhibitions and cultural events in the fields of art, fashion, science and technology. Rong is also one of the organizers of Show The World Initiative jointly launched by UNDP and artist Dadawa. Rong’s published articles can be found on Numéro, L’OFFICIEL, and iWeekly.

    Janet Laurence is a Sydney-based Australian artist who exhibits nationally and internationally. Her practice examines our physical, cultural and conflicting relationship to the natural world. She creates immersive environments that navigate the interconnections between organic elements and systems of nature. Within the recognized threat to so much of the lifeworld, she explores what it might mean to heal, albeit metaphorically, the natural environment, fusing this with a sense of communal loss and search for connection with powerful life-forces. Her work is included in museum, university, corporate and private collections as well as within architectural and landscaped public places. Institution/Awards: Laurence has been a recipient of Rockefeller, Churchill and Australia Council fellowships; recipient of the Alumni Award for Arts, UNSW; visiting fellow at the NSW University Art and Design; Australian representative for theCOP21/FIAC, Artists 4 Paris Climate2015 exhibition; visiting fellow of the 2016/2017 Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (HWK) foundation fellowship; and artist in residence at the Australian Museum. A major  survey exhibition MCA Sydney.

    内莱·阿泽维,艺术家和独立研究人,居住生活在圣保罗。她于1997年本科毕业于圣马赛里纳学院的艺术专业,2003年研究生毕业于圣保罗国立艺术学院(乌内斯普)的视觉艺术专业。1998年,内莱·阿泽维在巴西邮政文化中心(里约热内卢)举办了一次单独的铁塑展览,并在圣保罗的圣安德烈艺术厅获得了荣誉。2002年,内莱·阿泽维因其创作的丙烯酸雕塑装置被授予(日本之旅)文京艺术馆一等奖。 同年,她开始通过最小纪念碑项目开展城市空间干预工作,该项目讨论了巴西利亚,萨尔瓦多,库里提巴,圣保罗(巴西)哈瓦那(古巴);东京和京都(日本)等城市的当代公共古迹。2005年之后,最小纪念碑项目开始在巴黎(法国),不伦瑞克和柏林(德国),波尔图(葡萄牙),佛罗伦萨(意大利),阿姆斯特丹(荷兰),贝尔法斯特(北爱尔兰),智利圣地亚哥(智利),利马(秘鲁)等城市安装数百冰雕。2009年9月,最小纪念碑项目通过在柏林的御林广场上的展示受到了全世界的关注,成为全球变暖危机的象征性警告,并引起了人们对当代艺术之外的兴趣。


    Artist and independent researcher, Néle Azevedo lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil. Master in visual arts by the Sao Paulo State University Arts Institute (Unesp 2003) and bachelor in fine arts by Santa Marcelina College in 1997.In 1998 launched a single exhibition with an installation of iron sculptures at the Brazilian Post Cultural Center (Rio de Janeiro) and won the acquisition prize in the Santo André Art Hall, Sao Paulo. In 2002, She was awarded (trip to Japan) the Bunkyo Art Hall 1st prize with an installation of sculptures in acrylic. In the same year of 2002, started working on interventions in urban space with the Minimum Monument Project, which discuss the contemporary public monuments in cities such as Brasilia, Salvador, Curitiba, Sao Paulo (Brazil); Havana (Cuba); Tokyo and Kyoto (Japan). After 2005 the Minimum Monument begins to be installed with hundreds of ice sculptures in Paris (France); Braunschweig and Berlin (Germany); Porto (Portugal); Florence (Italy); Amsterdam (Netherlands); Belfast (Northern Ireland); Santiago de Chile (Chile); Lima (Peru) among others. The images of the Minimum Monument, received worldwide attention from the action performed on Gendarmenmarkt, in Berlin in September 2009, becoming a symbolic warning of the dangers of global warming and raising interest beyond the circuits of contemporary art.

    Wolfgang Weileder is an artist whose practice is primarily concerned with the examination and critical deconstruction of architecture, public spaces and the interactions we have with the urban environment. His works are investigations into the relationship between time and space, the interface between permanence and transience, and how these can be explored to question our understanding of the landscape, both built and natural. His work engages with the world through large-scale, temporary site-specific installation and sculpture; temporal recordings of spaces and environments through photography; film, performance and sound installation. Wolfgang Weileder is originally from Munich, Germany. He moved to the UK in 2000 and is currently Professor in Contemporary Sculpture at Newcastle University.

    Aurora Robson is a multi-media artist known predominantly for her meditative work intercepting the plastic waste stream. Her practice is about shifting negative trajectories. Her work formally references recurring nightmares that she had as a child which she hybridizes with organic forms found in nature. Robson holds a double major (B.A.) in visual arts and art history from Columbia University. Her work has been featured inSculpture Magazine,Art in America, WIRED, Art & Antiques, the cover ofGreen Building + Design and other publications. She is a recipient of the pollock Krasner Grant, aNew York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Sculpture, aTED/Lincoln Re-Imagine Prize,a National Endowment for the Arts Art Work Grant and an Annenberg Scholar. For more information about her work and related initiatives, see her TEDx talk entitledTrash + Love.

    Adam Frezza & Terri Chiao are an American artist duo whose work explores play and craft across a range of media, including painted sculpture, installation, collage and photography. Also known as CHIAOZZA (pronounced like "wowza" or "yowza"), Adam and Terri have exhibited their collaborative work in solo exhibitions in New York and Philadelphia, in numerous group shows around the US, and in a variety of art and design venues internationally. The studio was founded in 2011 and is based in New York City.

    封帆,艺术学博士、清华大学美术学院助理教授,研究生导师。2017 美国史密森尼学会美国美术档案馆访问研究员和2017 罗马美国学院访问学者。封帆主要从事综合绘画、公共艺术的创作及西方现当代艺术史的研究。其作品多次参加国内外主流艺术展览并被多家艺术机构收藏,同时其公共艺术作品在国内多家博物馆永久陈列。2016年,因其研究课题“赛·汤布利的神话主题绘画研究”,封帆被美国艺术史研究机构协会 (ARIAH Association of Research Institutes of Art History)授予“东亚学者”(Eastern Asian Fellowship)奖。封帆主要开设课程及研究方向:综合材料绘画、综合艺术语言训练、生态艺术及公共艺术创作,是清华大学美术学院-纽约州立大学布法罗分校研究生教学交换计划负责人、清华大学美术学院-香港浸会大学人文学院教学交流项目负责人。作为实践艺术家和艺术史学者的双重身份使其开设的课程兼顾视觉分析与文本讨论,具有工作室实践与理论研究并举的双重特性。


    Feng Fan is a Ph.D. in art history, the Assistant Professor at Department of painting in Academy of Arts & Design, faculty of The Institute of Contemporary Art, Tsinghua University.  Dr. Feng was trained as a visual artist, who has exhibited work across China, and in the U.S. and Japan. Dr. Feng’s work is in several public collections and he has produced a number of public art commissions around China. For his research on “The Mythological Theme Paintings of Cy Twombly” has been awarded the “Eastern Asian Fellowship” by ARIAH(Association of Research Institutes of Art History) . He is also a 2017 Visiting Fellow at Archive of American Art, Smithsonian Institute, Washington D.C. and 2017 Visiting Scholar at American Academy at Rome. Feng Fan is an initiator of an academic exchange residency program between the Department of Art, University at Buffalo, SUNY and The Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, a biennial cross-culture collaborations by MFA and Ph.D. students. The courses he is currently teaching including “Basic Training of Comprehensive Artistic Language”, “Comprehensive Material Painting”, “Ecological Art”, “Public Art”, ”Space in Art: Methodology and Practice”, “Art and Culture: American Art Study(1492-2001)”,etc.

    美食文化策划人,陈视觉品工作室创办人。他曾服务于新加坡丽嘉顿酒店以及多个国家地区的四季酒店,也曾创办Hof、糖品等多个餐饮品牌。2011年应邀参加巴黎第17届巧克力沙龙,并获得“国际最佳发现奖”。美食图书馆的联合发起人之一,亦担任了多家企业的美食文化顾问。他创造了多元行业与餐饮生态跨界新概念模式,也经常在微博上发表创意。



    A Malaysian pastry chef with 15 years of experience in the kitchen, Tan has worked with a number of hospitality groups for openings and relaunches. They include Four Seasons Malaysia, Ritz Carlton Singapore, Hilton London, Four Seasons Nevis, Caribbean, Four Seasons Sydney.

    李叶萌是独立策展人,上海瑜暄文化创意有限公司的创始人,毕业于四川美术学院艺术管理专业和伦敦苏富比艺术学院。李叶萌长期关注当代艺术与环境可持续发展议题,并致力于通过国际跨界艺术展览,为公众推广国际化艺术项目和可持续发展教育。


    Li Yemeng is an independent curator and founder of Yuxuan.  She hosts a bachelor degree from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and a master degree in art management from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.  Yemeng is very attentive to green issues, and has committed to promoting international art projects and education for a sustianble future.

    王冠州,策展人,现任山水美术馆展览部总监,自2012年策划、执行、统筹国内外艺术展览及艺术节共达20余场,如《达芬奇国际展览》、《复制时代安迪沃霍尔展》等,在中西方文化交流及诠释有深入研究,成为新理念青年策展人的代表。


    Wang Guanzhou, curator, director of exhibition department of Riverside Art Museum, has planned, executed and coordinated more than 20 domestic and international art exhibitions and festivals since 2012, such as Da Vinci International Exhibition and Andy Warhol Exhibition in the Reproductive Age, etc., has in-depth research on cultural exchanges and interpretations between China and the West, and has become a representative of young curators of new ideas.

    “艺术并非是自我的,远离社会的”,如今越来越多的艺术家开始审示自身应承担的社会责任,并通过创作关于环境等相关主题的作品,企图使大众开始关注一些环境伦理、生态伦理等方面的问题,并尝试在作品里面传达对待自然的观点或态度。艺术家就像我们这个时代的造梦者,他们总是用站在最前沿的视⻆与我们分享他们对世界的解读,借助超越语言范畴的形式激起我们对生活的共鸣。饮、⻝、呼吸、环境,这些与我们生活息息相关的内容,在艺术家的眼里,便有了更深层次的意义。他们用独特的方式,传递着对我们赖以生存的环境问题的关注。 即将于11月23日在上海上生·新所乡村俱乐部开幕的展览“持续新生”汇集了来自中国、美国、澳大利亚、法国、德国、芬兰、荷兰、巴西、以色列、日本、韩国等16个国家和地区的30多位艺术家及设计师参展,他们从“人与自然共生关系”、“水资源保护”与“可持续生活方式新生”三个方面展开,在“人类纪”语境之下,对于艺术与环境可持续发展、物质生活、新能源、未来生态等的一次诗意呈现,是关于人与自然如何共存的思考。展览将持续至2020年2月16日。
