Interested in strengthening your creative muscle?

Sign up for a half-day creativity workshop designed to help you unleash your brainstorming ability. You’ll work in teams of two for short bursts, generating solutions to a variety of creative problems. 

We’ll share some ideas and Diane will follow each burst with examples of the specific brainstorming technique applied to successful, real-world campaigns. 

You’ll leave with new brainstorming techniques to help you tackle future projects along with an inspiring look at international work across a spectrum of media platforms.

Coming straight from Richmond, Virginia, This workshop will be led by Diane Cook-Tench. Diane is a One Club Hall of Fame Educator and Founder of the VCU Brandcenter. Limit 30 Beijing-based professionals who are interested in boosting their creative skills.

We live in a world where consumers actively resist standard marketing. So it’s imperative to stop marketing at people. The idea is to create an environment where consumers will market to each other.

Word of mouth dies out, but innovative, creative ideas get bigger. Creative ideas are the currency of the future. While creativity in business isn't new, contagious ideas have never been more important. 

Creative business ideas are making people rich and most importantly, these ideas are changing the world. If you can get people to accept, cherish and embrace your ideas, you win. You’ll win financially and perhaps, you’ll change the world in which we live.

STRUCTURE

This half-day workshop is geared around teaching people how to unleash their creativity. We’ll use proven brainstorming techniques to solve quick problems and demonstrate the power of working in small teams. 

YOU WILL LEARN
• Useful techniques that they can be employed to generate creative ideas on a wide variety of platforms against a range of branding, marketing, and future new product development.

• Examples of specific brainstorming techniques applied to successful, real-world applications.

• An understanding of how to produce large amounts of new ideas with their teams.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Named to the Educators Hall Of Fame by the One Club of Creativity, Diane is known for training elite, creative communicators.

She’s the founder of the VCU Brandcenter. Under her leadership as Executive Director, its early foundation enabled later recognized as the number-one ranked creative communications school in the US. Brandcenter alumni have gone one to hold leadership positions in top communications firms and inside leading corporations around the world.

A graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, Diane’s won over 100 national and international awards for her creative work including Clios, Lions from the Cannes Festivals, and medals from the One Club’s One Show and the Art Directors Club ADC Awards. Her creative work has also garnered National Effies for effectiveness. Magazine campaigns won recognition by the Kellys as top business campaigns.

Her work has been acknowledged for its creativity in the following publications: Communication Arts & Design, Print, Graphis, Luzer Archive, The Readers Digest, Fortune Magazine, and international award show annuals.

Diane is proud to have been recognized as Richmond’s Advertising Person Of The Year, She’s been named one of The Outstanding Women Of Richmond by the YWCA.

There’s no greater honor for her though than being a mom to two strong daughters.
