活动简介 | Event Brief

6月26日，“2018哥大中国之夏”将举办这里是哥大系列——哥大城市规划专业宣讲会。哥伦比亚大学建筑、规划与保护研究生院城市规划专业主任吴维平教授将出席，与该专业的校友一道，详细介绍哥大城市规划硕士及博士专业项目，并就中国的城镇化进程进行讨论。会后，将有招待会，吴维平教授将与即将入学的新生进行面对面交流。

On June 26, Columbia Summer in China invites Professor Weiping Wu, Professor and Director of Urban Planning Program, Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Columbia University, to present an overview on Columbia's Urban Planning Program. She will be joined by alumni in a broad discussion including China's urbanization. In the meantime, Professor Wu will engage with incoming students of the program to help them prepare their new journey at Columbia. 

哥伦比亚大学城市规划硕士专业（Master of Science in Urban Planning）是一个为期两年的专业项目。该项目与实践紧密结合，将城市物质环境的研究与社会经济和政治条件的基础分析联系起来，探讨市场力量、公民社会和规划目标之间的复杂关系，特别关注城市分析的作用和对社会公平的追求，培养学生的评估和创造能力，为城市和社区塑造健康和可持续发展的生活环境。

The Columbia University Master of Science in Urban Planning is an accredited two-year program of professional education. Actively engaged in practice, the curriculum connects the study of the urban built environment with grounded analysis of socioeconomic and political conditions. The program explores the tensions between market forces, civil society, and the goals of planning, paying special attention to the role of urban analytics and the quest for social justice. Students learn to evaluate and shape efforts to develop and enhance cities and their communities in ways that foster healthy and sustainable living.

哥伦比亚大学城市规划博士专业（Ph.D. in Urban Planning）专注社会科学理论和方法论，致力于推动规划领域的进步。该项目包括两年选课、然后通过规划史、规划理论和实质性领域（或称行业）的考试、撰写论文开题并答辩，以及随后的论文写作和答辩。

In the Ph.D. in Urban Planning program, the student is immersed in the theoretical and methodological tools of the social sciences in order to contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the field of planning. The program consists of two years of coursework, qualifying examinations in the history and theory of planning and in a substantive area (called the sector), and the writing and defense of a dissertation proposal followed by the dissertation and its defense.

吴维平教授

哥伦比亚大学建筑、规划与保护研究生院城市规划专业主任

吴维平教授是一位国际知名的规划学专家，她专注于中国城市的移民、住房和基础设施等问题的研究。她出版过七本书籍，在顶级国际期刊上发表过许多文章，其中包括她最新出版的、备受关注的《中国城市》一书。《中国城市》剖析中国的城镇化进程，探索中国城市的复杂性如何符合并颠覆了西方传统城市理论和经验。她任全美规划院校联合会主席和中国城市研究网的国际顾问委员会委员，并担任4家期刊的编委会委员。此外，她还在福特基金会、林肯土地政策研究所和世界银行担任过顾问职务。

Trained in architecture and urban planning, Professor Weiping Wu is an internationally acclaimed planning scholar working on global urbanization with a specific expertise in issues of migration, housing, and infrastructure of Chinese cities. Her published work has gained an increasing public presence, particularly her recent book The Chinese City. It offers a critical understanding of China’s urbanization, exploring how the complexity of Chinese cities both conforms to and defies conventional urban theories and experience of cities elsewhere around the world. She is the President of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning and a member of the International Advisory Board for the Urban China Research Network, as well as serving on the editorial board of four journals. In addition, she has provided consultation to the Ford Foundation, Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, and World Bank.

宇恒可持续交通研究中心数据分析师

主导街道指数模型和低碳城镇化模型构建，以及相应可视化平台设计与开发，路见微信小程序产品设计与运维，参与TOD中国数据库搭建。研究领域涵盖地理空间数据分析与可视化、城市大数据挖掘和机器学习。

马艺菲 (MS U.P.16)

中国国家发改委综合运输研究所助理研究员

主要从事综合交通运输规划与政策、综合交通枢纽发展等领域的研究。
