As a national free trade zone, Hainan Province is increasingly becoming a pilot zone for new technologies，new models and new industries as benefit from its various regional dividends and policies. With the vision of “Unlocking the new economy”, International Fintech Innovation Conference (IFIC) will be held under the guidance of the People’s Daily and the Sanya Municipal Government, co-hosted by People Digital, Huobi Group, Sanya Municipal Bureau of Business Conference and Exhibition, Guoyin Jinkong and FINWEX.  Top enterprises, experts and investment institutions in the fields of fintech, blockchain and cross-border e-commerce will be invited to share visions and explore the development of Hainan's the new economy. 

Unique policy environment

On April 14, 2018, the State Council released document of "Guiding Opinions on Supporting Hainan's Comprehensive Deepening of Reform and Opening-up" ， which made Hainan the focus of investors and technology attention; Hainan Special Administrative Region has shouldered the new major responsibility and mission of reform and opening up, and it has created new development opportunities for more industries. The document also puts emphasis on “taking institutional innovation as the core, giving greater reform autonomy, supporting Hainan’s bold trials, boldness, and independent reform, accelerating the formation of a legalized, international and convienient business environment and a fair and unified market environment. 

Since the launch of the policy, Hainan has been exploring on new economic models and industrial restructuring, and encouraged more financial market entities to enter the free trade zone. Gradually liberalize financial business restrictions and promote the risks under control. The business innovation of financial institutions has attracted many well-known enterprises to Hainan. Blockchain enterprises such as Huobi China, 360 Blockchain and Thunder Blockchain have responded to the policy call for further development here. Hainan has become the forefront of China's fintech industry.

Partnership with well-known fintech enterprises and international capital

The summit will invite the important leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Hainan Provincial Government and the Sanya Municipal Government to attend the event. The summit will attract multiple participants, above 100 well-known innovative companies and professional investment institutions will participate the event, representatives from academic institutions, regulatory agencies and industry media will also be invited. The organizing committee will provide a reliable cooperating platform for all parties with forms of project roadshows, expert forum, enterprises exhibition area, etc.
