活动介绍 Introduction

The Shanghai Public Speaking and Debate Championship (SPSDC) is run by LearningLeaders every semester in Shanghai. SPSDC Parliamentary is conceived as a friendly tournament, suitable for students of varying levels of skill and experience in Parliamentary Debate, with an emphasis on impartial judging, clear and constructive post-round feedback, and positive learning outcomes.

We have decided to run two divisions this year: one World Schools (WSDC) division, and one British Parliamentary (BP) division. Both divisions will be held concurrently in our Puxi Learning Centre. Students can only compete in one division.

地点：LearningLeaders浦西学习中心（闵行区先锋街66号阿拉城3号楼305）

Participant:

WSDC - Intermediate parliamentary and above;

BP - advanced parliamentary and above.

日程安排 Schedule

Rules & Eligibility

SPSDC BP is suitable for students in Advanced Parliamentary, and Elite Parliamentary.

Speeches will be 7 minutes in length, with 15 minutes preparation time before rounds.

SPSDC World Schools is suitable for students in Intermediate Parliamentary, Advanced Parliamentary, and Elite Parliamentary.

Speeches will be 8 minutes in length, with 20 minutes preparation time before rounds

Teams & Partner service

World Schools:

Students should attend this tournament in teams of three. Students can sign up directly with their partners. If a student does not have a partner, they can fill out the partner request form using the QR code here.

温馨提示 Need To Know

1、本次活动提供搭档匹配服务，如果你需要搭档，请填写搭档申请，搭档申请将在4月22日截止，4月23日公布搭档匹配的结果。

Please fill out partner match survey if you need to find a partner. The deadline for the partner match service is April 22nd and the results will be published on April 23rd.

2、比赛当日会提供午餐

Lunch will be provided on May 22nd and 23rd.
